There was excitement in the air when the Town Hall Meeting 2022 was announced, meant to be a yearly event, but happened online in 2020 due to COVID, and after nearly two and a half years, we decided to meet physically. The COVID-19 pandemic had driven all of us indoors, and the daily interaction was virtual. We were missing the office atmosphere and were eager to meet each other, with this meeting providing an excellent opportunity to catch up with a million things, both personal and professional. We knew that we were in for a surprise and the guessing game went on until the meeting started. The event was held at Jenneys Residency’s Banquet Hall on July 16, 2022.

With most of us working remotely, it was an excellent opportunity for the entire team to assemble for an informative briefing and announcement that included fun and entertainment activities.

The games started with great anticipation, and the excitement started growing with each challenge. The general quiz was quite challenging and filled with funny moments and we enjoyed the incredible and unlikely answers from all corners of the hall until the correct answers started coming in from the brightest employees in the crowd.

The next event was the SIERRA quiz, conducted by Mrs. Sivashankari, Sr. Manager – HR, Admin & Accounts, and MR, and the newcomers learned a lot more about the company they have been working with for the past few months. Overall, the cheerfulness was contagious, with even the shy and introverted people in our company joining the fun to make the event enjoyable and unforgettable.

All the activity called for a brief refreshment break. After a round of refreshments that gave the much-needed energy to all of us, the meeting started getting more interesting with the splendid welcome speech delivered with warmth and enthusiasm.

The interesting part was yet to come. The CEO talk had everyone sitting up, listening to every word about the growth of the company all these years and the exciting possibilities that lay ahead for SIERRA, with plans to continue its global activities on a much larger scale.

Mr. Giridhar, CEO, and Managing Director, welcomed the gathering and spoke about the exciting growth opportunities ahead for all SIERRA executives. He explained the company’s exciting ESOP plans and how every loyal employee could expect to benefit by becoming a shareholder in the company.

The CEO virtually introduced Mr. Yash from ESPECIA, the partner who helped draft SIERRA’S ESOP policy. Mr. Yash explained in detail the benefits of ESOP to all present.

Following this, the Director of Operations, Mr. Manoj Jaikrishnan, delivered a talk explaining the finer points of ESOP and its policies from a SIERRA perspective.

After a brief interval for a hearty buffet lunch, there was a session dealing with team-building activities, among which the highlight was the Communication Game presented by the marketing team of SIERRA, followed by Creating Mementos, which was organized by the HR team. Creating Mementos was an exciting activity where everyone shared opinions about each other, leaving behind wonderful memories.

The fun events came to a close with an experiment called the Power of Mind presented by Mr. David Raja, Client Services, and Mr. Vadivel, Director, Portfolios, and CISO, who gave a live demonstration that fascinated the audience.

To bring the enjoyable event to an end, Mr. Madhan Kumar P, Director, and CTO summarized the entire event in a nutshell before delivering the vote of thanks, and the gathering dispersed reluctantly.
